Abstract: Peran Kantor Badan Pertanahan Nasional Dalam Menyelesaikan Sengketa Tumpang Tindih Tapal Batas Melalui Alternative Dispute Resolution di Kabupaten Labuhanbatu. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi karena Konflik tanah yang sekarang ini masih sering terjadi. Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah bagaimana peran badan pertanahan nasional dalam penyelesaian sengketa pertanahan sertifikat tumpang tindih tapal batas melalui mekanisme Alternative Dispute Resolution di kantor pertanahan kabupaten labuhanbatu, bagaimana upaya bpn dalam penyelesaian sengketa tumpang tindih tapal batas di kantor pertanahan kabupaten labuhanbatu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif didukung dengan teknik pengumpulan data primer dan data sekunder serta pengumpulan datanya melalui studi Pustaka dan studi lapangan dan analisis datanya dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, Peran Badan Pertanahan Nasional dalam penyelesaian sengketa tumpang tindih tapal batas melalui mekanisme Alternative Dispute Resolution di kantor pertanahan kabupaten labuhanbatu ialah melaluimekanisme mediasi, Upaya Badan Pertanahan Nasional dalam penyelesaian sengketa tumpang tindih tapal batas tanah di kantor pertanahan kabupaten labuhanbatu ialah melalui Upaya hukum Non-litigasi, maka dari itu pihak dari Kantor Pertanahan Kabupaten Labuhanbatu harus selalu sosialisasi perihal pertanahan kepada seluruh Lembaga yang berada di wilayah labuhanbatu agar meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat untuk mengetahui tentang asal usul tanah yang dimiliki. The role of the National Land Agency Office in resolving border overlap disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution in Labuhanbatu Regency is prompted by the fact that land conflicts are still common today. The research problem addressed in this study is how the National Land Agency plays a role in resolving land disputes involving overlapping border certificates through the Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism at the land office in Labuhanbatu Regency, and how the National Land Agency's efforts are made to resolve border overlapdisputes at the land office in Labuhanbatu Regency. This research employed a normative juridical approach supported by primary and secondary datacollection techniques, including literature review and field studies, and the data analysis was conducted using qualitative analysis. The results of this study indicated that the role of the National Land Agency in resolving border overlap disputes through the Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism at the land office in Labuhanbatu Regency was through mediation. The National Land Agency's efforts to resolve border overlap land disputes at the land office in Labuhanbatu Regency were carried out through non-litigation legal efforts. Therefore, the LandOffice of Labuhanbatu Regency had to continuously socialize land-related issues to all institutions within the Labuhanbatu area to increase public awareness of theorigins of the land they owned.
