Abstract: Komunikasi interpersonal memegang peranan penting dalam hubungan romantis. Interpersonal communication plays an important role in romantic relationships. This research examines the influence of interpersonal communication on sustainability relationship through the split bill method among students at the Faculty of Psychology at the University Medan Area. Using a quantitative approach with a survey, this research involving 499 students as a population and 83 students as a sample selected through cluster sampling. Data was collected through a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using the partial T test, simple linear regression, and multiple coefficient of determination (R²) test. T test results partial shows that the tcount is 6.547 which is greater than the t-table of 1.989 at a significance level of 5%, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This indicates that interpersonal communication has a significant influence towards the sustainability of the relationship through the split bill method. Linear regression analysis simple shows the existence of a significant linear relationship between communication interpersonal and relationship sustainability, with a positive regression coefficient (b). Test the coefficient of multiple determination (R²) indicates that 45.6% variability in the sustainability of the relationship can be explained by interpersonal communication through split bill method. In conclusion, interpersonal communication has a significant effect towards the sustainability of the relationship through the split bill method.
