Abstract: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pola asuh otoriter dan self-esteem terhadap perilaku bullying pada siswa SMA X di Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling, melibatkan 213 siswa dari tiga tingkat kelas di SMA X Medan. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan skala likert skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala Pola Asuh Otoriter, skala SelfEsteem dan skala bullying, dengan reliabilitas Cronbach Alpha masing-masing 0,756, 0,897, dan 0,820. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi, dengan pengujian asumsi klasik seperti uji normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, dan multikolinearitas untuk memastikan validitas model. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh otoriter dan self-esteem secara signifikan mempengaruhi perilaku bullying, dengan nilai t masing-masing 3,226 dan 7,186, serta nilai signifikansi 0,001 dan 0,000. Uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel ini menjelaskan variasi perilaku bullying sebesar 45,7%. Kesimpulannya, baik pola asuh otoriter maupun self-esteem memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap perilaku bullying siswa, dimana individu yang mendapatkan pola asuh otoriter akan lebih dominan melakukan perilaku bullying. This study aims to analyse the effect of authoritarian parenting and self-esteem on bullying behaviour in X High School students in Medan. This study used a quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique, involving 213 students from three grade levels at SMA X Medan. Data were collected using a Likert scale, the scales used in this study were the Authoritarian Parenting scale, the Self-Esteem scale and the bullying scale, with Cronbach Alpha reliability of 0.756, 0.897, and 0.820 respectively. Data were analysed using regression analysis, with classical assumption tests such as normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity tests to ensure the validity of the model. The results showed that authoritarian parenting and self-esteem significantly influenced bullying behaviour, with t values of 3.226 and 7.186, respectively, and significance values of 0.001 and 0.000. The coefficient of determination test showed that these two variables explained 45.7% of the variation in bullying behaviour. In conclusion, both authoritarian parenting and self-esteem have a significant impact on student bullying behaviour, where individuals who get authoritarian parenting will be more dominant in bullying behaviour |
