dc.description.abstractKelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas hasil perkebunan dan ekspor Indonesia yang cukup penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia. Suatu CPO dapat dikatakan berkualitas apabila mampu memcnuhi kebutuhan yang dispesifikasi. Hal ini memerlukan adanya pengendalian kualitas yaitu menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Salah satu cara untuk menilai kinerja sistem industri adalah dengan menggunakan Six Sigma. Six sigma mcrupakan alat ukur untuk mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor vital, faktor-faktor yang paling menentukan untuk memperbaiki mutu proses dan mengbasilkan keuntungan serta mengurangi faktor penyebab kesalahan. Six Sigma melalui tahap pendekatan DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Co11trol). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah proses pengendalian bialitas CPO dengan metode six sigma dapat meminimalisasi produk: gagal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, observasi yang dilakukan di lapangan dan melakukan pengurnpulan data. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat 16 buah kecacatan yang disebabkan asam lemak bebas dan terdapat 8 buah kecacatan yang disebabkan kadar air. Berdasarkan penelitian terdapat kemungkinan kerusakan 213.333 untuk sejuta produksi. Palm oil is one of Indonesia's plantation and export commodilies which is quite important in the Indonesian economy. A CPO can be said to be of quality if it is able to meet the specified needs. This requires quality control, namely using quantitative methods. One way to assess the performance of industrial systems is to use Six Sigma. Six sigma is a meaj11ring tool to identify several vital factors, the factors that are most decisive for improving process quality and generating profits as well as reducing factors that cause errors. Six Sigma goes through the DMA!C approach (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The aim of this research is to find out whether the CPO quality control process using the six sigma method can minimize product failure. The research methods used are literature studies, observations made in the field and data collection. The results obtained were that there were 16 defects caused by free fatty acids and 8 defects caused by water content. Based on research, there is a possibility of damage of 213,333 for one million production.en_US
