dc.description.abstractDalam menjemput aspirasi masyarakat tentunya anggota DPRD kota Medan memiliki gaya komunikasi tersendiri sesuai dengan keinginan dan tujuan yang ingin diperoleh. Gaya komunikasi merupakan panduan dan perencanaan komunikasi (communication planning) serta manajemen komunikasi (communication management) untuk mencapai suatu tujuan. Pendekatan gaya komunikasi bisa berbeda sewaktu-waktu tergantung dari situasi dan kondisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya komunikasi anggota Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Daerah (DPRD) Kota Medan dalam menjemput aspirasi masyarakat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan anggota DPRD dan observasi langsung terhadap interaksi mereka dengan warga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anggota DPRD Kota Medan menggunakan gaya komunikasi Equalitarian Style dan Structuring Style yaitu gaya komunikasi dua arah dan gaya komunikasi terstruktur. Kesimpulannya, gaya komunikasi anggota DPRD memainkan peran penting dalam menjemput aspirasi masyarakat. Dalam menghadapi tuntutan tugasnya, anggota dewan perlu memperhatikan efektivitas komunikasi mereka agar dapat mewakili kepentingan warga dengan baik.
