Hubungan antara Kepercayaan Diri dengan Penyesuaian Sosial pada Remaja di SMA Swasta Gajah Mada

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kepercayaan diri dengan penyesuaian sosial pada remaja di SMA Swasta Gajah Mada. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Swasta Gajah Mada berjumlah 188 orang siswa dan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 65 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik random sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan model skala likert dengan dua skala, yaitu skala kepercayaan diri dan skala penyesuaian sosial. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi product moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara variabel kepercayaan diri dengan variabel penyesuaian sosial. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,519 dengan Signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2= 0,269. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri berdistribusi sebesar 26,9% terhadap penyesuaian sosial. Berdasarkan hasil uji mean dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepercayaan diri tergolong rendah dengan nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 65 dan mean empiriknya sebesar 60,32. Selanjutnya penyesuaian sosial dapat disimpulkan memperoleh hasil rendah dengan nilai hipotetik sebesar 47,5 dan nilai empiriknya sebesar 42,34. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepercayaan diri memiliki hubungan terhadap penyesuaian sosial pada remaja di SMA Swasta Gajah Mada. This study aims to determine the correlation between self-confidence and social adjustment in adolescents at SMA Swasta Gajah Mada. The population of this study was 188 students of SMA Swasta Gajah Mada and the number of samples in this study was 65 students. The sampling technique used was random sampling. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale model with two scales, namely the self-confidence scale and the social adjustment scale. Based on the results of the product moment correlation analysis calculation, it can be seen that there is a significant positive correlation between the self-confidence variable and the social adjustment variable. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.519 with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05. From these results, the determinant coefficient (r2) of the correlation between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.269. This shows that self-confidence is distributed by 26.9% to social adjustment. Based on the results of the mean test, it can be concluded that self-confidence is relatively low with a hypothetical mean value of 65 and an empirical mean of 60.32. Furthermore, social adjustment can be concluded to obtain low results with a hypothetical value of 47.5 and an empirical value of 42.34. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that self-confidence has a correlation with social adjustment in adolescents at SMA Swasta Gajah Mada.
