Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini sudah semakin mempermudah komunikasi khususnya penyebaran informasi, telah merambah juga dalam dunia pendidikan. Namun sebagian besar sekolah yang telah menerapkan teknologi dalam operasionalnya, SMK Yapim Sei Rotan masih terkandala dengan pemanfaatan teknologi pendaftaran siswa baru masih dilakukan secara manual. Penerimaan siswa baru dimulai dari tahap pendaftaran awal siswa baru, pandaftaran ulang hingga pengumuman hasil penerimaan siswa baru masih bersifat manual.Kondisi ini masih diterapkan selama ini,sekolah sering mengalami kesalahan seperti dalam input data, pengolahan data hingga penentuan hasil menjadi terkendala.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan suatu perancangan system informasi penerimaan siswa baru di SMK Yapim Sei Rotan berbasis website. Urgensi dari penelitian ini apabila tidak segera diimplementasikan adalah dapat menghambat perkembangan dan penggunaan teknologi di tingkat sekolah. Selain itu terdapat resiko untuk tetap membiarkan segala kerentanan dan kesalahan akibat tindakan manual terus terjadi.Dengan adanya system informasi penerimaan siswa baru berbasis web ini, diharapkan SMK dapat mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi informasi computer untuk meningkatkan efesiensi dan produktifitas dalam pengelolaan data penerimaan siswa baru secara keseluruhan. Current technological developments have made communication easier especially the dissemination of information , it has also penetrated the world of education. However, the majority of schools that have implemented technology in their operations, Yapim Sei Rotan Vocational School, are still hampered by the use of technology. Registration of new students is still done manually. Acceptance of new students starts from the initial registration stage. new students, re-registration and the announcement of the results of new student admissions are still manual. This condition is still applied so far, schools often experience errors such as in data input, data processing and determining results which are hampered. The aim of this research is to provide an information system design The acceptance of new students at Yapim Sei Rotan Vocational School is website-based. The urgency of this research if it is not implemented immediately is that it could hinder the development and use of technology at the school level. Apart from that, there is a risk of allowing all vulnerabilities and errors due to manual actions to continue to occur. With the existence of a system With this web-based information on new student admissions, it is hoped that vocational schools can optimize the use of computer information technology to increase efficiency and productivity in managing new student admission data as a whole.
