Abstract: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada efek expressive writing untuk menurunkan stres akademik dan meningkatkan emosi positif pada siswa. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan kuantitatif eksperimen dengan pendekatan classical eksperimental desain dengan penugasan acak, yang terbagi atas grup eksperimen, grup kontrol, pre-test dan post test. Ada dua skala yang digunakan yaitu: Skala Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) dan Skala Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan expressive writing dapat meningkatkan afeksi positif sebesar 0.57%. Kemudian diketahui bahwa tidak ada perbedaan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan post test kelompok eksperimen self-expectation, workload, despondency, pressure from study, worry about grades. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of expressive writing to reduce academic stress and increase positive emotions in students. The type of research used is quantitative experiment with a classical experimental design approach with random assignment, which is divided into experimental groups, control groups, pre-test and post-test. There are two scales used, namely: Educational Stress Scale for Adolescents (ESSA) Scale and Positive Affect Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) Scale. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that expressive writing treatment can increase positive affection by 0.57%. Then it is known that there is no difference between the experimental group and the post-test experimental group self-expectation, workload, despondency, pressure from study, worry about grades.
