Hubungan antara Kelekatan Orangtua dengan Kecerdasan Emosional pada Remaja di SMK Swasta Gajah Mada

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelekatan orangtua dengan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja di SMK Swasta Gajah Mada. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 10 SMK Swasta Gajah Mada, dengan jumlah 50 orang siswa dan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 50 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode total sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi product moment terlihat bahwa terdapat terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara variabel kelekatan orangtua dengan kecerdasan emosional. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,718 dengan Signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2= 0.515. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kelekatan orangtua berdistribusi sebesar 51,5% terhadap kecerdasan emosional pada remaja. Berdasarkan hasil uji mean dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelekatan orangtua pada remaja di SMK Swasta Gajah Mada tergolong rendah terlihat dimana mean hipotetik sebesar 67,50 dan mean empiriknya sebesar 58.24. Selanjutnya kecerdasan emosional pada remaja di SMK Swasta Gajah Mada tergolong rendah dimana nilai hipotetik sebesar 75,00 dan nilai empiriknya sebesar 66.15. Dari hasil analisis data ini maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kelekatan orangtua pada remaja masuk ke dalam kategori rendah dan kecerdasan emosional pada remaja masuk ke dalam kategori rendah. This study aims to determine the correlation between parental attachment and emotional intelligence in adolescents at Gajah Mada Private Vocational School. The population in this study were grade 10 students of Gajah Mada Private Vocational School, with a total of 50 students and the number of samples in this study was 50 students. The sampling technique in this study was carried out using the total sampling method. Based on the results of the product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that there is a positive and significant correlation between the variables of parental attachment and emotional intelligence. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.718 with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05. From these results, the determinant coefficient (r2) of the correlation between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.515. This shows that parental attachment is distributed by 51.5% to emotional intelligence in adolescents. Based on the results of the mean test, it can be concluded that parental attachment to adolescents at Gajah Mada Private Vocational School is classified as low, as seen where the hypothetical mean is 67.50 and the empirical mean is 58.24. Furthermore, emotional intelligence in adolescents at Gajah Mada Private Vocational School is classified as low, where the hypothetical value is 75.00 and the empirical value is 66.15. From the results of this data analysis, it can be concluded that parental attachment to adolescents is in the low category and emotional intelligence in adolescents is in the low category.
