Hubungan antara Harga Diri dengan Kepercayaan Diri pada Remaja di Panti Asuhan The Yatim Village Kota Tebing Tinggi

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan harga diri dengan kepercayaan diri remaja, dimana penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif korelasional. Hipotesis penelitian hubungan positif yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan kepercayaan diri pada remaja di panti asuhan, dengan asumsi semakin tinggi harga diri maka kepercayaan diri juga tinggi begitu juga sebaliknya semakin rendah harga diri maka kepercayaan diri semakin rendah. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini 65 remaja dengan sampel juga 65 remaja. Teknik sampel yang digunakan teknik total sampling. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan teknik analisis data korelasional. Berdasarkan hasil analisis korelasi product moment terlihat bahwasanya ada hubungan positif antara harga diri dengan kepercayaan diri. Temuan ini diambil berdasarkan pada coefficient correlation rxy = 0,789 dengan taraf signifikansi p = 0,000 < 0,05, artinya hipotesis yang berbunyi ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara harga diri dengan kepercayaan diri diterima. Selanjutnya, Koefisien determinasi (r2) keterkaitan antara variabel independen dan variabel dependen adalah r2= 0,622. Hal ini memperlihatkan bahwasanya harga diri mempunyai kontribusi terhadap kepercayaan diri sebesar 62,2%. Hasil uji mean dapat disimpulkan bahwa harga diri tergolong rendah dengan nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 100 dan mean empiriknya sebesar 80,09. Selanjutnya kepercayaan diri dapat disimpulkan memperoleh hasil rendah dengan nilai hipotetik sebesar 110 dan nilai empiriknya sebesar 90,69. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-esteem and self-confidence in adolescents, where this study was a quantitative correlational type. The research hypothesis is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and self-confidence in adolescents in orphanages, with the assumption that the higher the self-esteem, the higher the self-confidence and vice versa, the lower the self-esteem, the lower the self-confidence. The population in this study was 65 adolescents with a sample of 65 adolescents. The sampling technique used was the total sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was the correlational data analysis technique. Based on the results of the product moment correlation analysis, it can be seen that there is a positive relationship between self-esteem and self-confidence. This finding is taken based on the correlation coefficient rxy = 0.789 with a significance level of p = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the hypothesis that states there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and self-confidence is accepted. Furthermore, the determination coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.622. This shows that self-esteem has a contribution to self-confidence of 62.2%. The results of the mean test can be concluded that self-esteem is classified as low with a hypothetical mean value of 100 and an empirical mean of 80.09. Furthermore, self-confidence can be concluded to have low results with a hypothetical value of 110 and an empirical value of 90.69.
