Peranan Camat Dalam Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) di Kecamatan Gido, Kabupaten Nias, Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas peran Camat dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19 di Kecamatan Gido, Kabupaten Nias, Indonesia. Sebagai pandemi global, Covid-19 telah menyebabkan dampak signifikan di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Camat Gido telah berperan secara efektif dalam pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19. Mereka aktif dalam memberikan himbauan, sosialisasi, dan berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak seperti Koramil, puskesmas, dan aparat pemerintahan desa. Tindakan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah penularan virus dan menyediakan fasilitas kesehatan seperti masker dan hand sanitizer. Camat juga mengawasi alokasi Dana Desa untuk mendukung masyarakat yang terdampak Covid-19. Meskipun peran Camat telah efektif, masih ada beberapa hambatan yang dihadapi. Salah satunya adalah kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang bahaya Covid-19. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, Camat telah bermitra dengan puskesmas untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat tentang virus ini, cara penularannya, dan langkahlangkah pencegahan. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang pentingnya peran Camat dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 dan bagaimana upaya mereka dalam melindungi masyarakat. Dengan langkahlangkah yang telah diambil, Camat Gido telah berkontribusi dalam memitigasi penyebaran virus dan memberikan dukungan kepada warga terdampak. This study discusses the role of the Sub-district Head in the prevention and control of Covid-19 in Gido Sub-district, Nias Regency, Indonesia. As a global pandemic, Covid-19 has caused significant impacts throughout the world, including Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the Gido Sub-district Head has played an effective role in the prevention and control of Covid-19. They are active in providing appeals, socialization, and collaborating with various parties such as Koramil, health centers, and village government officials. These actions aim to prevent the transmission of the virus and provide health facilities such as masks and hand sanitizers. The Sub-district Head also oversees the allocation of Village Funds to support communities affected by Covid-19. Although the Sub-district Head's role has been effective, there are still several obstacles faced. One of them is the lack of public understanding of the dangers of Covid-19. To overcome this problem, the Sub-district Head has partnered with health centers to provide education to the community about the virus, how it is transmitted, and preventive measures. This study provides a clear picture of the importance of the Sub-district Head's role in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic and how they are trying to protect the community. With the steps that have been taken, Sub-district Head Gido has contributed to mitigating the spread of the virus and providing support to affected residents.
