Hubungan Antara Perilaku Over Protective Orang Tua Dengan Kemandirian Remaja Pada Siswa Smas Brigjend Katamso 2 Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Hubungan Antara Perilaku Overprotektif Orang Tua Terhadap Kemandirian Remaja Pada Siswa SMAS Brigjend Katamso 2, Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Adapun jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 562 orang siswa, dengan 71 siswa yang terindikasi mengalami perlakuan overprotektif dari orang tua. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan skala yang disusun dengan model likert. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi product moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan perilaku over protectif dengan kemandirian. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,496 dengan Signifikan p= 0,001 < 0,05. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2= 0,163. Ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku over protektif berdistribusi sebesar 16,3% terhadap kemandirian. This study aims to analyze the Relationship Between Parental Overprotective Behavior and Adolescent Independence in SMAS Brigjend Katamso 2 Students, Medan. The research method used in this study is quantitative with a correlational approach. The population in this study was 562 students, with 71 students indicated to have experienced overprotective treatment from their parents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection method used a scale arranged with a Likert model. Based on the results of the product moment correlation analysis calculation, it can be seen that there is a relationship between overprotective behavior and independence. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.496 with a significant p = 0.001 <0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.163. This shows that overprotective behavior is distributed by 16.3% towards independence.
