dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar pada siswa SMPN 29 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan korelasi dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 29 Medan yang berjumlah 66. Adapun metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert. Analisi data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil analis data menunjukkan koefisien korelasi r(xy)= 0,534 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05), artinya bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi motivasi belajar maka semakin meningkat pula prestasi belajar, sebaliknya semakin rendah motiasi belajar, maka semakin rendah pula prestasi belajar. Dari hasil analisis ini diketahui bahwa motivasi belajar siswa SMPN 29 Medan tergolong sedang/cukup (mean empirik = 130 < mean hipotetik = 115), sedangkan pada prestasi belajar mean empirik= mean hipotetik yaitu 70,58. Adapun koefisien determinasi ditemukan sebesar r2 = 0,286 berarti bahwa motivasi belajar memberikan sumbangan terhadap prestasi belajar pada siswa SMPN 29 Medan sebesar 28,6%. This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on learning achievement in students of SMPN 29 Medan. This study uses a correlation approach with quantitative research methods. The sampling technique uses a simple random sampling technique. The subjects in this study were 66 students of SMPN 29 Medan. The data collection method in this study used a Likert scale. Data analysis used in this study was simple linear regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of r (xy) = 0.534 with p = 0.000 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a significant influence between learning motivation and learning achievement. These results indicate that the higher the learning motivation, the higher the learning achievement, conversely the lower the learning motivation, the lower the learning achievement. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the learning motivation of students of SMPN 29 Medan is classified as moderate/sufficient (empirical mean = 130 <hypothetical mean = 115), while in learning achievement the empirical mean = hypothetical mean is 70.58. The coefficient of determination found was r2 = 0.286, meaning that learning motivation contributed to learning achievement of students at SMPN 29 Medan by 28.6%.en_US
