dc.description.abstract | Pemerintah Indonesia telah memberikan layanan pendidikan wajib selama 12 tahun, mulai dari tingkat usia dini sampai usia remaja. Salah satu lembaga formal pendidikan pada tingkat menengah atas adalah Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang menitikberatkan pendidikan khusus dengan fokus keterampilan yang dibutuhkan di dunia usaha dan dunia kerja. Fasilitas pendidikan SMK menjadi salah satu isu yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian, karena pada umumnya fasilitas sekolah SMK yang dikelola pemerintah memiliki bangunan yang sudah tua dan kurang terawat, karena keterbatasan dana dan kualitas bangunan yang tidak memenuhi standar. Salah satu sekolah yang menjadi objek rancangan adalah SMK Tanjung Morawa di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Oleh karena itu, proyek rancangan menitikberatkan pada kualitas bangunan yang mudah dalam perawatan, nyaman untuk belajar, dengan melakukan pendekatan hasil-hasil karya Andra Matin yang dikenal memiliki ciri khas karya bangunan yang adaptif dan kontekstual. Metode perancangan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif melalui metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur untuk mengetahui standar sekolah menengah kejuruan, studi pustaka dilakukan untuk mengetahui lokasi penelitian dan karya-karya Andra Matin. Penerapan pendekatan arsitektur Andra Matin diaplikasikan pada bentuk massa bangunan, orientasi bangunan, vegetasi, material dan lanskap di sekitar lingkungan The Indonesian government has established a compulsory education system that spans 12 years, covering early childhood through adolescence. One of the formal educational institutions at the upper secondary level is the Vocational High School (SMK), which focuses on practical skills necessary for the business world and the workforce. However, the facilities at vocational schools require significant improvement. Many government-managed vocational schools feature outdated and poorly maintained buildings due to limited funding and inadequate construction standards. One specific school that is the focus of this design project is SMK Tanjung Morawa, located in Deli Serdang Regency. As a result, the design emphasizes building quality that is easy to maintain and conducive to learning. This approach draws inspiration from the works of Andra Matin, known for his adaptive and contextual architectural designs. The design methodology employs qualitative descriptive methods, including observations, interviews, and literature reviews, to establish the required standards for vocational high schools. Literature reviews are conducted to inform the research location and explore the works of Andra Matin. His architectural principles are applied to the design through considerations of building mass, orientation, vegetation, materials, and the surrounding landscape. | en_US |
