Abstract: | Industri konstruksi di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam penggunaan material beton yang ramah lingkungan, mengingat penggunaan bahan baku seperti semen dan agregat yang berdampak pada penurunan sumber daya alam dan meningkatkan jejak karbon. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh substitusi dedak padi terhadap kualitas beton, dengan fokus pada kuat tekan dan workability beton. Beton yang diuji terdiri dari beton normal dan beton variasi dengan dedak padi sebagai pengganti agregat halus pada persentase 3%, 5%, dan 7%. Campuran beton dirancang berdasarkan SNI 7656:2012 dan pengujian kuat tekan mengacu pada SNI 1974:2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beton dengan penambahan dedak padi memiliki nilai slump yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan beton normal, menunjukkan peningkatan workability seiring dengan bertambahnya persentase dedak padi. Selain itu, pada umur 14 hari, beton dengan dedak padi mengalami penurunan kuat tekan, tetapi pada umur 28 hari, kekuatan beton meningkat, dengan beton variasi 7% dedak padi menunjukkan hasil terbaik. Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa dedak padi dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pengganti agregat halus dalam beton, memberikan potensi untuk mengurangi limbah pertanian, menurunkan biaya produksi beton, dan menghasilkan beton yang lebih ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dedak padi adalah alternatif yang berkelanjutan dan dapat diterima dalam industri konstruksi. The construction industry in Indonesia faces challenges in using environmentally friendly concrete materials, considering the use of raw materials such as cement and aggregates that have an impact on the degradation of natural resources and increase the carbon footprint. This study examines the effect of rice bran substitution on concrete quality, with a focus on the compressive strength and workability of concrete. The concrete tested consisted of normal concrete and concrete variations with rice bran as a substitute for fine aggregate at percentages of 3%, 5%, and 7%. The concrete mixture was designed based on SNI 7656:2012 and the compressive strength test referred to SNI 1974:2023. The results showed that concrete with the addition of rice bran had a higher slump value than normal concrete, indicating an increase in workability along with the increasing percentage of rice bran. In addition, at the age of 14 days, concrete with rice bran experienced a decrease in compressive strength, but at the age of 28 days, the concrete strength increased, with concrete variations of 7% rice bran showing the best results. Tests have shown that rice bran can be used as a substitute for fine aggregate in concrete, providing the potential to reduce agricultural waste, lower concrete production costs, and produce more environmentally friendly concrete. This study shows that rice bran is a sustainable and acceptable alternative in the construction industry. |
