dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya hidup dan pengendalian keuangan terhadap pembelian impulsif pada mahasiswa pekerja di Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara Stambuk 2021. Gaya hidup sering dikaitkan dengan pola konsumsi individu, di mana semakin konsumtif seseorang, semakin besar kemungkinan mereka untuk melakukan pembelian tanpa perencanaan. Sementara itu, pengendalian keuangan menjadi faktor penting dalam mengatur pengeluaran dan menekan kecenderungan pembelian impulsif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan regresi linear berganda. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 mahasiswa pekerja yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linear berganda, uji t, uji F, serta uji koefisien determinasi (R²). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, gaya hidup berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembelian impulsif, dengan nilai thitung sebesar 4.047 dan nilai sig. 0.043. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin konsumtif gaya hidup mahasiswa, semakin besar kecenderungan mereka untuk melakukan pembelian impulsif. Pengendalian keuangan juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembelian impulsif, dengan nilai thitung sebesar 3.495 dan sig. 0.038, yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik seseorang mengelola keuangannya, semakin kecil kemungkinan mereka melakukan pembelian impulsif. Secara simultan, gaya hidup dan pengendalian keuangan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pembelian impulsif, dengan nilai Fhitung sebesar 4.908 dan sig. 0.029, yang berarti bahwa kedua variabel independen berkontribusi dalam menjelaskan variabel dependen. This study aims to analyze the effect of lifestyle and financial control on impulse purchases on working students at Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra Stambuk 2021. Lifestyle is often associated with individual consumption patterns, where the more consumptive a person is, the more likely they are to make purchases without planning. Meanwhile, financial control is an important factor in managing expenses and suppressing impulse buying tendencies. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression approach. The research sample was 100 student workers selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t tests, F tests, and coefficient of determination (R²) tests. The results showed that partially, lifestyle has a significant effect on impulse buying, with a tcount value of 4.047 and a sig value. 0.043. This indicates that the more consumptive the lifestyle of students, the greater their tendency to make impulse purchases. Financial control also has a significant effect on impulse buying, with a tcount value of 3.495 and sig. 0.038, which indicates that the better someone manages their finances, the less likely they are to make impulse purchases. Simultaneously, lifestyle and financial control have a significant effect on impulse buying, with an Fcount value of 4.908 and sig. 0.029, which means that both independent variables contribute in explaining the dependent variable.en_US
