Abstract: Tujuan penelitan ini untuk mendeskripsikan faktor yang menentukan retensi karyawan di PEDRO Sun Plaza Medan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian mendeskripsikan faktor pendukung retensi karyawan meliputi kepuasan kerja, peluang pengembangan, kesempatan untuk maju, budaya kerja, kepemimpinan, serta pengakuan dan penghargaan. Faktor paling mempengaruhi retensi karyawan di PEDRO Sun Plaza adalah budaya kerja kondusif, jenjang karir dan kesempatan promosi, kepuasan fasilitas dan insentif, serta kepemimpinan demokratis dan suportif. Terdapat aspek yang masih dapat ditingkatkan, seperti evaluasi terhadap kebijakan fleksibilitas cuti, peningkatan insentif dan bonus agar lebih kompetitif, serta penyempurnaan strategi motivasi agar lebih merata dirasakan oleh seluruh karyawan The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that determine Employee retention at PEDRO Sun Plaza Medan. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews, documentation, and observation. The results of the study describe the supporting factors for Employee retention including job satisfaction, development opportunities, opportunities for advancement, work culture, leadership, and recognition and appreciation. The factors that most influence Employee retention at PEDRO Sun Plaza are a conducive work culture, career ladder and promotion opportunities, satisfaction with facilities and incentives, and democratic and supportive leadership. There are aspects that can still be improved, such as evaluating leave flexibility policies, increasing incentives and bonuses to be more competitive, and improving motivation strategies to be more evenly felt by all employees.
