Abstract: | Perkembangan teknologi beton mendorong inovasi dalam penggunaan bahan tambahan yang ramah lingkungan dan ekonomis. Salah satu bahan potensial yang banyak tersedia adalah serbuk kayu sisa pengergajian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi serbuk kayu sebagai pengganti sebagian agregat halus terhadap kuat tekan beton. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen laboratorium dengan variasi substitusi serbuk kayu sebesar 3%, 7%, dan 9% dari volume agregat halus. Sampel beton berbentuk silinder dengan ukuran diameter 15 cm dan tinggi 30 cm diuji kuat tekannya pada umur 14 dan 28 hari. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi persentase substitusi serbuk kayu, maka kuat tekan beton cenderung menurun. Substitusi 3% memberikan nilai kuat tekan tertinggi di antara variasi lainnya, sedangkan substitusi 9% menunjukkan penurunan yang signifikan terhadap kuat tekan beton. Kesimpulannya, serbuk kayu sisa pengergajian tidak dapat digunakan sebagai bahan substitusi sebagian agregat halus dalam beton karena menyebabkan penurunan kuat tekan secara signifikan. The development of concrete technology encourages innovation in the use of environmentally friendly and economical additives. One potential material that is widely available is sawdust residue from sawmills. This study aims to determine the effect of sawdust substitution as a partial replacement of fine aggregate on the compressive strength of concrete. The method used is a laboratory experiment with variations in sawdust substitution of 3%, 7%, and 9% of the fine aggregate volume. Cylindrical concrete samples with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm were tested for their compressive strength at the age of 14 and 28 days. The test results show that the higher the percentage of sawdust substitution, the compressive strength of the concrete tends to decrease. 3% substitution gives the highest compressive strength value among other variations, while 9% substitution shows a significant decrease in concrete compressive strength. In conclusion, sawdust residue from sawmills cannot be used as a partial substitute for fine aggregate in concrete because it causes a significant decrease in compressive strength. |
