Abstract: | Sepanjang sejarah manusia kemajuan-kemajuan besar dalam kebudayaan selalu diikuti oleh meningkatnya komsumsi energi, peningkatan ini berhubungan langsung dengan tingkat kehidupan penduduk serta kemajuan industrilisasi. Sejak revolusi industri, pengguna bahan bakar meningkat dengan tajam, oleh karena itu diperlukan sumber energi yang memenuhi semua kebutuhan. Energi angin termasuk energi terbarukan yang didefinisikan sebagai energi yang secara cepat dapat diproduksi kembali melalui proses alam. Beberapa kelebihan energi terbarukan yaitu. Sumbernya relatif mudah didapat, dapat diperoleh dengan gratis, minim limbah, tidak mempengaruhi suhu bumi secara global. Kerja dari suatu turbin angin dapat dilihat dari daya poros, torsi, dan efisiensi turbin yang dihasilkan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan turbin angin savonius untuk mengetahui perubahan temperatur udara, kelembapan, kecepatan angin dan putaran blade. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif agar untuk mengetahui daya angin, turbin, dan efisiensi. Hasil analisis yang didapat pada perhitungan rata-rata pada dimmer 5 yaitu pada perhitungan daya angin sebesar 106,8 watt, turbin 0,02886 watt, dan efisiensi 0,027%. Hal ini kondisi lingkungan terhadap kinerja turbin angin tidak mampu beroperasi secara optimal pada kecepatan tertentu. Disarankan menguji turbin angin ini dilapangan terbuka dan mengubah komponen-komponen yang lebih ringan. Throughout human history, major advances in culture have always been accompanied by increased energy consumption, a direct correlation to the standard of living of the population and the advancement of industrialization. Since the industrial revolution, fuel consumption has increased sharply, necessitating a source of energy that meets all needs. Wind energy is a renewable energy source, defined as energy that can be rapidly reproduced through natural processes. Some of the advantages of renewable energy are: its source is relatively easy to obtain, free of charge, minimal waste, and does not affect global temperatures. The performance of a wind turbine can be seen from the shaft power, torque, and efficiency of the turbine produced. In this study, a Savonius wind turbine was used to determine changes in air temperature, humidity, wind speed, and blade rotation. This researcher used a quantitative method to determine wind power, turbine power, and efficiency. The results of the analysis obtained from the average calculation on dimmer 5 were calculated as wind power of 106.8 watts, turbine power of 0.02886 watts, and efficiency of 0.027%. This environmental condition affects the performance of the wind turbine, which is unable to operate optimally at certain speeds. It is recommended to test this wind turbine in an open field and change the lighter components. |
