Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan kode etik jurnalistik pasal 4 pada berita kriminal yang terbit di portal media online Tribun-medan.com, penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik dokumentasi, dan observasi, serta mengaplikasikan teknik analisis isi guna menganalisis berita yang mengandung pemberitaan yang melanggar kode etik atau tidak dalam kategori berita kriminal pembunuhan, kekerasan dan pemerkosaan, Kode Etik Jurnalistik Pasal 4 sebagai landasan teori. This study aims to determine the application of Article 4 of the journalistic code of ethics to crime news published on the online media portal Tribun-medan.com. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through documentation and observation techniques, and content analysis techniques were applied to analyze whether or not news contained news that violated the code of ethics in the crime news categories of murder, violence, and rape. Article 4 of the Journalistic Code of Ethics served as the theoretical basis.
