Abstract: | penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran fotografi sebagai media komunukasi visual dalam dinas pariwisata.Masalah di fokuskan bagaimana dinas pariwisata tapanuli selatan memanfaatkan platfrom media sosial sebagai alat komunikasi visual untuk mempublikasikan fofo-foto destinasi wisata atau foto-foto kegiatan yang di lakukan oleh dinas pariwisata tapanuli selatan. Guna mendekati masalah ini dipergunakan acuan teori dari Rolandbarthes untuk menjelaskan pemaknaan foto-foto yang di publikasikan melalui dikumpulkan melalui observasi,wawancara,dokumentasi dan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa fotografi memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam mendukung strategi humas dinas pariwisata tapanuli selatan.melalui platform media sosial seperti Instagram,faceebook dan youtube fotografi digunakan untuk menampulkan keindahan alam,aktifitas budaya tapanuli selatan,dan kuliner khas tapanuli selatan. This paper aims to examine the role of photography as a visual communication medium in the tourism office. The focus is on how the South Tapanuli Tourism Office utilizes social media platforms as a visual communication tool to publish photos of tourist destinations or activities carried out by the South Tapanuli Tourism Office. To approach this problem, Roland Barthes' theory is used to explain the meaning of published photos collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and qualitative analysis. This study concludes that photography has a significant influence in supporting the public relations strategy of the South Tapanuli Tourism Office. Through social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, photography is used to showcase the natural beauty, cultural activities of South Tapanuli, and typical South Tapanuli cuisine. |
