Abstract: | Serat karbon telah meluas diberbagai bidang karena sifat-sifatnya yang unggul dalam hal kekakuan, keringanan, kekuatan dan ketahanan terhadap korosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan bahan yang beredar dipasaran dan pengumpulan data setelah melakukan pengujian. Proses pembuatan pipia menggunakan metode infus, metode tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kepadatan setiap lepisan, dan dapat dibentuk menjadi pipa. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sifat kekuatan yang dimiliki pipa berbahan serat karbon jenis twill 220 gsm di bentuk menjadi pipa. Hasil pengujian pipa menggunakan 9 lapis serat karbon memiliki gaya tahan tekan 1563,6 N , pipa 11 lapis memiliki ketahanan 2786,9 N, dan pipa 13 lapis memiliki ketahanan 3755,6 N. Carbon fiber has been widely used in various fields due to its excellent properties in terms of stiffness, lightness, strength and corrosion resistance. This study uses an experimental method using materials circulating in the market and data collection after testing. The process of making pipes uses the infusion method, this method can affect the density of each layer, and can be formed into pipes. This test aims to determine the strength properties of pipes made of 220 gsm twill carbon fiber formed into pipes. The results of testing pipes using 9 layers of carbon fiber have a compressive strength of 1563.6 N, 11-layer pipes have a resistance of 2786.9 N, and 13-layer pipes have a resistance of 3755.6 N |
