Abstract: | Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa fitur Close Friends di Instagram memiliki pengaruh signifikan namun masih sangat rendah dilihat dari kepuasan penggunaan Instagram pada mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Medan Area stambuk 2021-2022. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi (R²) menunjukkan bahwa 13,6% kepuasan penggunaan Instagram dipengaruhi oleh fitur Close Friends, sedangkan 86,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang ada di luar model. Uji F menunjukkan, variabel fitur Close Friends secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan penggunaan Instagram. Mahasiswa memilih fitur ini karena kebutuhan privasi, interaksi sosial yang lebih personal, dan ekspresi diri. Meskipun ada pengaruh signifikan, nilai adjusted R² yang masih terbilang cukup rendah ini menunjukkan jika terdapat banyak faktor lain yang berperan dalam mempengaruhi kepuasan pengguna Instagram. This study found that the Close Friends feature on Instagram has a significant but still very low impact on Instagram user satisfaction among Communication Science students at the University of Medan Area in the 2021-2022 academic year. The coefficient of determination (R²) test results showed that 13.6% of Instagram user satisfaction was influenced by the Close Friends feature, while 86.4% was influenced by other variables outside the model. The F-test showed that the Close Friends feature simultaneously influenced Instagram user satisfaction. Students chose this feature for their need for privacy, more personal social interactions, and self-expression. Despite the significant impact, the relatively low adjusted R² value indicates that many other factors play a role in influencing Instagram user satisfaction. |
