Abstract: Anak usia dini berada pada fase perkembangan yang pesat, di mana stimulasi pendidikan yang tepat sangat penting untuk mendukung pertumbuhan fisik, mental, dan spiritual. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan anak usia dini adalah pengenalan dan penghafalan Al-Qur'an, yang tidak hanya mendukung perkembangan kognitif tetapi juga pembentukan karakter religius. Namun, metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kaku seringkali menyebabkan kebosanan dan kurangnya minat siswa dalam menghafal Al-Qur'an. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, seperti joyful learning, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal dan kebahagiaan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan joyful learning menggunakan media kartu tahfidz dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur'an dan kebahagiaan siswa TK. Penelitian ini melibatkan 34 siswa TK Jabal Rahmah Mulia Medan, yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi-experimental dengan desain non-randomized pretest-posttest control group. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur'an dan skala kebahagiaan (happiness), kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test dan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan joyful learning menggunakan kartu tahfidz secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan menghafal Al-Qur'an (t = 11.830, p = 0.000) dan kebahagiaan siswa (t = 7.062, p = 0.000) dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Rata-rata kemampuan menghafal kelompok eksperimen meningkat sebesar 17.706 poin, sementara kebahagiaan meningkat sebesar 9.353 poin. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan joyful learning dengan menggunakan media kartu tahfiz efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan dan meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran. Early childhood is a period of rapid development when appropriate educational stimulation is essential to support physical, mental and spiritual growth. An important aspect of early childhood education is the introduction and memorisation of the Qur'an, which supports not only cognitive development but also religious character building. However, rigid conventional learning methods often lead to boredom and lack of interest in memorising the Qur'an. Therefore, an enjoyable learning approach, such as joyful learning, is needed to improve students' memorisation skills and happiness. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a joyful learning approach using tahfidz cards in improving Qur'anic memorisation skills and happiness among kindergarten students.This study involved 34 students from Jabal Rahmah Mulia Kindergarten Medan who were divided into experimental and control groups. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-randomised pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected using the Al-Qur'an memorisation ability test and the happiness scale, and then analysed using paired sample t-test and independent t-test. The results showed that the application of joyful learning using tahfidz cards significantly improved students' Qur'an memorisation ability (t = 11.830, p = 0.000) and happiness (t = 7.062, p = 0.000) compared to the control group. The average memorisation ability of the experimental group increased by 17.706 points, while happiness increased by 9.353 points. These results suggest that the joyful learning approach is effective in creating an enjoyable learning environment and improving learning outcomes.
