This study aims to identify secondary metabolite compounds and evaluate the antibacterial potential of date seeds (Phoenix dactylifera L) in vitro. Date seeds, which are often considered waste, have potential as a source of bioactive compounds that are beneficial to health. The extraction method used in this study aims to determine the most effective method for extracting compounds with antioxidant activity. The results showed that date seeds contain secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids and saponins. Antibacterial activity tests were conducted against Staphylococcus aureus, and the results showed that date seed extract contains secondary metabolite compounds flavonoids and saponins that have potential as antibacterial agents. Extraction using ethanol as a solvent proved to produce the highest yield and bioactive compounds with significant antioxidant activity. This study is expected to contribute to the utilization of date seeds as functional food ingredients and herbal medicine, as well as reduce waste from the date processing industry.en_US
