dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan penyesuaian sosial pada siswa akselerasi dan siswa regular di SMA Al - Azhar Medan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI akselerasi dan siswa kelas XI reguler. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah instrument penyesuaian sosial, yang terdiri dari 46 aitem (a = 0,923). Analisis data menggunakan analisis t-test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima, yaitu adanya perbedaan penyesuaian social antara siswa akselerasi dan siswa reguler. Dibuktikan dengan nilai + = -9,116 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (P < 0,050). Dari nilai rata-rata diketahui bahwa siswa reguler memiliki penyesuaian sosial lebih tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 147,48 dibandingkan dengan siswa akselerasi dengan nilai rata-rata 134,20. Kemudian hasil perhitungan mean empirik dan mean hipotetik diperoleh bahwa penyesuaian sosial siswa akselerasi dan siswa reguler berada pada kategori tinggi, sebab selisih mean empirik (140,49) dengan nilai mean hipotetik (115) berada diluar jangkauan SD (10,206). This study aims to determine the differences in social adjustment between accelerated and regular students at Al-Azhar High School, Medan. The subjects in this study were grade XI accelerated students and grade XI regular students. The measuring instrument used was a social adjustment instrument, which consisted of 46 items (a = 0.923). Data analysis used t-test analysis. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, namely that there were differences in social adjustment between accelerated and regular students. Proven by a value of + = -9.116 with a significance of 0.000 (P < 0.050). From the average value, it is known that regular students have higher social adjustment with an average value of 147.48 compared to accelerated students with an average value of 134.20. Then the results of the calculation of the empirical mean and the hypothetical mean showed that the social adjustment of accelerated students and regular students was in the high category, because the difference between the empirical mean (140.49) and the hypothetical mean value (115) was outside the SD range (10.206).en_US
