Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui : hubungan konsep diri dengan kemandirian ditinjau status sosial ekonomi keluarga pada siswa MAN Binjai. Hipotesis yang diajukan ; a) terdapat hubungan positif antara konsep diri dengan kemandirian pada siswa MAN Binjai, b) terdapat perbedaan kemandirian siswa ditinjau dar berstatus sosial ekonomi keluarga. Populasi siswa MAN Binjai kelas XI yang berjumlah 236. Sampel berjumlah 148 orang siswa yang ditetapkan dengan teknik Proposional Stratified Random Sampling. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and independence, based on family socioeconomic status, among students at MAN Binjai. The proposed hypotheses are: a) there is a positive relationship between self-concept and independence among students at MAN Binjai, b) there are differences in student independence based on family socioeconomic status. The population of MAN Binjai was 236 eleventh-grade students. A sample of 148 students was selected using the Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique.
