dc.description.abstractTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran BBPOM atas produk obat dan makanan ilegal melalui sistem elektronik, untuk mengetahui perlindungan hukum konsumen atas peredaran produk obat dan makanan ilegal melalui sistem elektronik dan untuk mengetahui kendala BBPOM dalam mengawasi produk obat dan makanan ilegal melalui sistem elektronik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian yuridis normatif, dengan jenis data yang berasal dari bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder dan bahan hukum tersier. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik studi kepustakaan dan data sekunder atau wawancara, serta dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah peran BBPOM Medan terhadap peredaran produk obat dan makanan ilegal dilakukan dengan Patroli Cyber dan melakukan pemblokiran akun media sosial maupun situs website penjual ilegal. Perlindungan hukum bagi konsumen atas peredaran obat dan makanan ilegal melalui sistem elektronik telah diatur dalam beberapa regulasi seperti Undang- Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen dan Peraturan BPOM Nomor 14 Tahun 2024 tentang Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan yang diedarkan Secara Daring. Kendala yang dihadapi BBPOM dalam mengawasi produk obat dan makanan ilegal melalui sistem elektronik adalah terbatasnya jumlah sumber daya manusia yang secara khusus menangani pengawasan di ruang digital. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of BBPOM on illegal drug and food products through the electronic system, to determine the legal protection of consumers on the circulation of illegal drug and food products through the electronic system and to determine the obstacles of BBPOM in monitoring illegal drug and food products through the electronic system. The type of research used is normative juridical research, with the type of data derived from primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials. Data were collected using literature study techniques and secondary data or interviews, and analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The result of the research is the role of BBPOM Medan against the circulation of illegal drug and food products is carried out by Cyber Patrol and blocking social media accounts and websites of illegal sellers. Legal protection for consumers on the circulation of illegal drugs and food through electronic systems has been regulated in several regulations such as Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and BPOM Regulation Number 14 of 2024 concerning Supervision of Drugs and Food Circulated Online. The obstacle faced by BBPOM in monitoring illegal drug and food products through the electronic system is the limited number of human resources who specifically handle supervision in the digital space.en_US
