The Medan State Administrative High Court building, a legal facility, plays a vital role in administering justice in North Sumatra. One of the greatest threats to building structures is earthquake loads, especially in active earthquake zones. One aspect of designing multi-story buildings is dynamic analysis, which involves the structure's response to earthquake loads. The response spectrum method is a structural analysis method that uses the earthquake spectrum, which is depicted in the form of a curve representing the relationship between the period of the structure and the acceleration of the building itself when subjected to earthquake loads. The largest displacement value in the X direction was 21.89497 mm and in the Y direction was 17.363304 mm. Based on the story drift analysis, the largest story drift value was found on the floor slab. On the floor slab, the story drift value in the X direction was 60.993 mm and in the Y direction was 50.002 mm. Based on the response spectrum analysis, the X and Y directions yielded Vdynamic values ≥ 100% of Vstatic, with Vxdynamic values of 4642.989 kN and Vxstatic values of 4642.913 kN in the X direction, and Vydynamic values of 4643.013 kN and Vystatic values of 4642.913 kN in the Y direction. The combined mass participation values for the X and Y directions met the requirements, achieving 100% in mode 7. |
