dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media sosial instagram sebagai alat promosi wisata Paepira Floating House, Desa Sibolangit, Kecamatan Merek, Kabupaten Karo. Penelitian ini berfokus pada mengetahui Pemanfaatan media sosial instagram dalam promosi wisata paepira floating house dan mengetahui kendala pemanfaatan media sosial dalam promosi wisata paepira floating house. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui Teknik Analisa data Miles Huberman. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pengelola dan pengunjung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial Instagram dalam menampilkan objek wisata dan fasilitas penginapan paepira floating house dilakukan secara efektif. Pemanfaatan media sosial Instagram membangkitkan keterlibatan audiens yang dapat dilihat dari fitur stories, reels, dan kolom komentar. Kendala dalam pemanfaatan media sosial Instagram dalam promosi wisata paepira floating house adalah keterbatasan keterbatasan jaringan internet dan minimnya anggaran promosi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial yang efektif dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan. This study aims to examine the use of Instagram as a promotional tool for Paepira Floating House tourism, located in Sibolangit Village, Merek Sub-district, Karo Regency. The research focuses on understanding the utilization of Instagram in promoting Paepira Floating House tourism and identifying the obstacles in using social media for tourism promotion. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach, utilizing Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with both the management and visitors. The results show that Instagram is effectively used to showcase the tourist attractions and accommodation facilities of Paepira Floating House. The use of Instagram successfully engages the audience through features such as Stories, Reels, and the comments section. The challenges in using Instagram for promoting Paepira Floating House include limited internet connectivity and a lack of promotional budget. This study indicates that effective use of social media can increase tourist visits.en_US
