dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji fenomena Instagramxiety di kalangan siswi SMK Panca Budi Medan usia 15–19 tahun. Instagramxiety merupakan bentuk kecemasan sosial yang timbul akibat tekanan sosial di media sosial Instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan Instagram yang tinggi berdampak pada penurunan fokus belajar, kecemasan sosial, dan perbandingan diri yang berlebihan. Faktor penyebab utama termasuk kebutuhan validasi sosial, cyberbullying, dan citra diri negatif. Peran guru dan lingkungan sekolah sangat dibutuhkan untuk mengatasi dampak negatif ini. This study aims to examine the phenomenon of Instagramxiety among female students aged 15 19 at Panca Budi Vocational High School, Medan. Instagramxiety refers to social anxiety triggered by social pressure on Instagram. This research used a descriptive qualitative method with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that high Instagram usage intensity contributes to decreased academic focus, social anxiety, and excessive self-comparison. The main contributing factors include the need for social validation, cyberbullying, and negative self-image. Teachers and school environments play a crucial role in mitigating these negative impacts.en_US
