Hubungan Self-Compassion dengan Body Dissatisfaction pada Siswi SMAN 17 Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-compassion dengan body dissatisfaction pada siswi SMAN 17 Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswi kelas XI di SMAN 17 Medan yang berjumlah 144 siswi dan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 105 siswi. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik Simple random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi product moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara variabel self-compassion dengan variabel body dissatisfaction. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = -0,696 dengan Signifikan p= 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2= 0,433. Ini menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion berdistribusi sebesar 43,3% terhadap body dissatisfaction. Berdasarkan hasil uji mean dapat disimpulkan bahwa self-compassion tergolong rendah dengan nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 95 dan mean empiriknya sebesar 87,73. Selanjutnya body dissatisfaction dapat disimpulkan memperoleh hasil tinggi dengan nilai hipotetik sebesar 90 dan nilai empiriknya sebesar 96,20. This study aims to determine the correlation between self-compassion and body dissatisfaction in female students of SMAN 17 Medan. The population in this study were 144 female students of grade XI at SMAN 17 Medan and the sample of this study was 105 female students. The sampling technique used was the Simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of the product moment correlation analysis calculation, it can be seen that there is a significant negative relationship between the self-compassion variable and the body dissatisfaction variable. This result is evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy = -0.696 with a significant p = 0.000 <0.05. The determinant coefficient (r2) of the correlation between the independent variable and the dependent variable is r2 = 0.433. This shows that self-compassion is distributed by 43.3% to body dissatisfaction. Based on the results of the mean test, it can be concluded that self-compassion is classified as low with a hypothetical mean value of 95 and an empirical mean of 87.73. Furthermore, body dissatisfaction can be concluded to obtain high results with a hypothetical value of 90 and an empirical value of 96.20.
