dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas konseling kelompok dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas X SMA Kartika I-2 Medan. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 14 siswa yang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain clasicall experiment berbentuk pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen penelitian berupa skala motivasi belajar yang disusun berdasarkan aspekaspek motivasi belajar menurut Sardiman dan menggunakan model skala likert. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji regresi linier sederhana menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara konseling kelompok dengan motivasi belajar, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (rxy) sebesar 0,724 dan nilai signifikansi p= < 0,001, sehingga hipotesis diterima. Analisis data juga menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi belajar siswa sebelum diberikan perlakuan tergolong rendah, namun setelah mendapatkan konseling kelompok mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Kontribusi konseling kelompok terhadap motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 52,4%, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini, seperti dukungan keluarga, strategi belajar, serta lingkungan sosial siswa. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling in improving learning motivation among tenth-grade students of SMA Kartika I-2 Medan. The research sample consisted of 14 students selected through purposive sampling. The study employed a quantitative method with a classical experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instrument used was a learning motivation scale, developed based on the aspects of learning motivation proposed by Sardiman and measured using a Likert scale model. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings revealed a positive and significant effect of group counseling on learning motivation, with a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.724 and a significance value of p < 0.001, thus confirming the research hypothesis. The results further showed that students’ learning motivation levels were relatively low prior to the intervention but experienced a significant increase after receiving group counseling. The contribution of group counseling to learning motivation was 52.4%, while the remaining variance was influenced by other factors not examined in this study, such as family support, learning strategies, and the students’ social environment.en_US
