| dc.description.abstract | Penulisan skripsi ini mendeskripsikan optimalisasi pengelolaan konten Instagram sebagai sarana dalam membangun personal branding dikalangan mahasiswa. Dengan pengelolaan konten Instagram secara optimal untuk memengaruhi citra dan meningkatkan peluang karier dimasa depan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis optimalisasi pengelolaan konten Instagram dalam membangun personal branding Mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Medan Area angkatan 2021 dan menganalisis bagaimana hambatan komunikasi pengelolaan konten Instagram dalam membangun personal branding Mahasiswa FISIP Universitas Medan Area Angkatan 2021. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis konten yang efektif untuk dibagikan dalam membangun personal branding yaitu pada aspek share membagikan konten cerita pribadi yang seperti travelling, dan konten edukasi yang relevan dengan mahasiswa. Pada aspek optimize terdapat waktu posting feed dan story yang ideal yaitu pada jam istirahat makan siang ataupun dimalam hari. Kemudian pada aspek manage mahasiswa mengelola variasi konten di Instagram seperti tata letak dan estetika postingan. Dan pada tahap engage mahaiswa menanggapi feedback atau komentar secara positif dan sopan untuk menjaga reputasi personal branding mereka. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang mendalam oleh peneliti terdapat hambatan komunikasi yang Mahasiswa alami yaitu hambatan teknis dan hambatan manusiawi. This thesis discusses the optimization of Instagram content management as a medium for building personal branding among students. Proper optimization of Instagram content has an influence on one’s public image and can improve future career prospects. The aim of this study is to examine how Instagram content management is optimized to build personal branding among the 2021 class of FISIP students at the University of Medan Area, as well as to identify the communication barriers encountered in managing Instagram content. The research applies a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Findings indicate that several types of content are effective in strengthening personal branding, including sharing personal stories such as travel experiences and educational content relevant to students. In terms of optimization, the most effective times to upload feed and story content are during lunch breaks or in the evening. From a management perspective, students curated their Instagram content by paying attention to variation, layout, and post aesthetics. During the engagement stage, students responded to comments or feedback in a positive and polite manner to uphold their personal branding image. Through in-depth observation, the researcher identified communication barriers faced by students, which include both technical obstacles and human-related challenges. | en_US |
