This research aims to determine the effect of locus of control on job insecurity among outsourcing employees at the Regional Revenue Agency of North Sumatra Province. Using a quantitative approach with associative methods. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 80 respondents. The instruments used are the locus of control scale and the job insecurity scale which have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of simple regression analysis show that there is a significant positive influence between locus of control on job insecurity with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.01) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.358. This means that locus of control contributes 35.8% to job insecurity. The formula obtained is Y= 49.117 + 0.260X, which indicates that every 1 point increase in locus of control (X) will cause an increase in job insecurity (Y) of 0.260 points. The empirical mean test results show that locus of control (M = 64.30) and job insecurity (M = 96.48) are in the high category. The data also shows a normal distribution and linear relationship between variables. These findings indicate that the higher the locus of control an employee has, the higher the level of job insecurity they feel. Outsourcing work conditions that are not permanent and full of uncertainty are external factors that continue to influence employees' perceptions of their job security.en_US
