| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi obsesi dalam film Pearl (2022) dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Film ini mengisiihkan karakter utama, Pearl, seorang perempuan muda yang terobsesi untuk meraih ketenaran, hingga mengabaikan nilai-nilai moral dan norma sosial. Pendekatan semiotika digunakan untuk mengkaji tanda-tanda visual yang mencerminkan obsesi, termasuk penggunaan wama, pencahayaan, ekspresi wajah, dan mise en scene. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriplif dengan teknik analisis semiotika pierce untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana film mengonstruksikan obsesi sebagai dorongan psikologis yang kumpleks dan berpotensi destruktif. H.asil analisis menunjukkan bahwa film Pearl menampilkan obsesi sebagai transformasi ambisi yang ekstrem, yang mendorong karakter utama ke dalam Lffidakan yang menyimpang secara emosional dan sosial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap kajian komunik.asi visual dan representasi psikologis dalam media film. This study aims to analyze the representation of obsession in the film Pearl (2022) using Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic approach. The film features the main character, Pearl, a young woman obsessed with achieving fame, to the point of ignoring moral values and social norms. A semiotic approach is used to examine visual signs that reflect obsession, including the use of color, lighting, facial expressions, and mise-en-scene. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method with Pierce's semiotic analysis techniques to explore how the film constructs obsession as a complex and potentially destructive psychological drive. The analysis shows that Pearl depicts obsession as a transformation of extreme ambition, which drives the main character into emotionally and socially deviant behavior. This research contributes to the study of visual communication and psychological representation in film. | en_US |
