Hubungan Bullying Verbal terhadap Kepercayaan Diri Remaja di SMA Namira Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan bullying verbal terhadap kepercayaan diri remaja di SMA Namira Medan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Namira Medan berjumlah 232 siswa dan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 76 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan model skala likert dengan dua skala, yaitu skala bullying verbal dan skala kepercayaan diri. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan analisis korelasi product moment, dapat diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara bullying verbal dengan kepercayaan diri. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy =-0,644, dengan Signifikan p = 0,000<0,05. Dari hasil tersebut diperoleh Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat adalah r2 = 0,415. Ini menunjukkan bahwa bullying verbal berdistribusi sebesar 41,5% terhadap kepercayaan diri. Berdasarkan hasil uji mean dapat disimpulkan bahwa bullying verbal tergolong tinggi dengan nilai mean hipotetik sebesar 67,5 dan mean empiriknya sebesar 75,12. Selanjutnya, kepercayaan diri dapat disimpulkan memperoleh hasil rendah dengan nilai hipotetik sebesar 55 dan nilai empiriknya sebesar 45,41. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa bullying verbal memiliki hubungan terhadap kepercayaan diri pada remaja di SMA Namira Medan. This study aims to determine the correlation between verbal bullying and self-confidence of adolescents in SMA Namira Medan. The type of research used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of 232 students at SMA Namira Medan, and the sample size was 76 students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert scale model with two scales: verbal bullying scale and self-confidence scale. Based on the results of the productmoment correlation analysis, it was found that there was a negative correlation between verbal bullying and self-confidence. This result was evidenced by the correlation coefficient rxy =-0,644, with a significance of p= 0,000<0,05. From these results, the coefficient of determination (r2) from the correlation between the independent and dependent variables was r2 = 0,415. This indicated that verbal bullying contributed 41,5% to self-confidance. Based on the mean test results, it was concluded that verbal bullying was in the high category, with a hypothetical mean value of 67,5 and an empirical mean of 75,12. Furthermore, self-confidence was also in the low catefory, with a hypothetical mean of 55 and an empirical mean of 45,41. From the results of this study, it was concluded that verval bullying correlated with self-confidance of adolescents in SMA Namira Medan.
