dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap psychological well-being pada siswa broken home di SMA Negeri 6 Binjai. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi seluruh siswa broken home berjumlah 49 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala Dukungan Sosial dan Skala Psychological Well-Being dengan model Likert. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, dan analisis regresi sederhana menggunakan r Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh positif signifikan dukungan sosial terhadap psychological well-being dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,660 dan signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Koefisien determinan (r2) dari hubungan antara variabel bebas X dengan variabel terikat Y adalah sebesar r2 = 0,436. Artinya dukungan sosial berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan psychological well-being sebesar 43,6%. Selebihnya 56,4% psychological well-being dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain seperti spiritualitas dan kepercayaan diri yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Tingkat dukungan sosial tergolong tinggi dengan mean empirik (55,59) > mean hipotetik (47,5). Psychological well-being juga tergolong tinggi dengan mean empirik (64,53) > mean hipotetik (57,5). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah dukungan sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap psychological well-being siswa broken home, sehingga penting meningkatkan dukungan sosial di lingkungan sekolah. This study aims to analyze the effect of social support on psychological well-being among broken home students at SMA Negeri 6 Binjai. The research method used a quantitative approach with a population of all broken home students totaling 49 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collection used Social Support Scale and Psychological Well-Being Scale with Likert model. Data analysis was conducted through validity and reliability tests, and simple regression analysis using r Product Moment. The results showed a significant positive effect of social support on psychological well-being with a correlation coefficient rxy = 0.660 and significance p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (r²) of the relationship between independent variable X and dependent variable Y was r² = 0.436. This means that social support contributes to the improvement of psychological well-being by 43.6%. The remaining 56.4% of psychological well-being is influenced by other factors such as spirituality and self-confidence which were not discussed in this study. The level of social support was categorized as high with empirical mean (55.59) > hypothetical mean (47.5). Psychological well-being was also categorized as high with empirical mean (64.53) > hypothetical mean (57.5). The research conclusion is that social support has a significant effect on psychological well-being of broken home students, therefore it is important to enhance social support in the school environment.en_US
