dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kontrol sosial dengan perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja di SMA Swasta Pertiwi Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 105 remaja dari populasi berjumlah 142 remaja yang dipilih menggunakan teknik Quota Sampling.. Alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu skala kontrol sosial dan skala cyberbullying. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol sosial dengan perilaku cyberbullying, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,580 dan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Semakin tinggi kontrol sosial yang dimiliki remaja, maka semakin rendah kecenderungan mereka melakukan cyberbullying. Hasil ini juga diperkuat oleh uji linearitas yang menunjukkan hubungan antara kedua variabel bersifat linear, dengan nilai signifikansi deviation from linearity sebesar 0,133 (p > 0,05). Artinya, hubungan keduanya bergerak secara konsisten dalam pola garis lurus, sehingga mendukung validitas hubungan yang ditemukan. Dengan demikian, kontrol sosial memiliki peran penting dalam menekan perilaku cyberbullying pada remaja. This study aims to examine the correlation between social control and cyberbullying behavior among teenagers at SMA Swasta Pertiwi Medan. The research employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The samples consisted of 105 teenagers from the 142 teenagers of population who been selected through Quota sampling. The instruments used were a social control scale and a cyberbullying scale. The data were analyzed using the Spearman’s rho correlation test. The results showed a significant negative correlation between social control and cyberbullying behavior, with a correlation coefficient of -0.580 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the hypothesis was accepted. The higher the level of social control possessed by teenagers, the lower their tendency to engage in cyberbullying. These findings are further supported by a linearity test, which showed that the relationship between the two variables is linear, with a deviation from linearity significance value of 0.133 (p > 0.05). This suggests that the relationship consistently follows a straight-line pattern, thus supporting the validity of the findings. Therefore, social control plays an important role in reducing cyberbullying behavior among teenagers.en_US
