dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi pola komunikasi interpersonal pertemanan antar Siswa di SMA Swasta Panti Budaya Kisaran. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari siswa-siswi SMA Swasta Panti Budaya Kisaran, guru dengan kriteria mengajar di kelas yang sama, terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, memiliki pengalaman mengajar minimal 2-3 tahun dengan pemilihan informan dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan mencakup beberapa langkah yaitu reduksi data, data display, kesimpulan/verifikasi, dan triangulasi data. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi dua pola komunikasi antar siswa di SMA Swasta Panti Budaya Kisaran: komunikasi melalui media sosial (WhatsApp, Instagram) dan komunikasi dalam kelompok pertemanan. Kedua pola ini saling melengkapi, dengan media sosial memperkuat interaksi informal dan komunikasi tatap muka mendalamkan hubungan emosional. Teknologi dan karakter individu memengaruhi cara siswa berinteraksi, menciptakan komunikasi yang efektif baik secara digital maupun langsung. This study aims to determine and identify interpersonal communication patterns of friendship between students at Private Senior High School Panti Budaya Kisaran. The type of research used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants involved in this study consisted of students of Private Senior High School Panti Budaya Kisaran, teachers with the criteria of teaching in the same class, involved in extracurricular activities, have a minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience with the selection of informants carried out by purposive sampling. The analysis technique used includes several steps, namely data reduction, data display, conclusions/verification, and data triangulation. This study identified two communication patterns between students at Private Senior High School Panti Budaya Kisaran: communication through social media (WhatsApp, Instagram) and communication in friendship groups. These two patterns complement each other, with social media strengthening informal interactions and face-to-face communication deepening emotional relationships. Technology and individual character influence how students interact, creating effective communication both digitally and in person.en_US
