This study aims to identify the factors influencing consumptive behavior among students of the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Medan Area. The research adopts a quantitative approach using convenience sampling, involving 72 respondents. The theoretical framework is based on Kotler and Armstrong (2018), which outlines four key influencing factors: cultural, social, personal, and psychological. The data collection instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire that was tested for validity and reliability, with all items found to be valid (r > 0.3) and reliable (α > 0.7). Descriptive analysis revealed that personal factors had the highest influence (mean = 21.15), followed by psychological (20.81), cultural (20.47), and social factors (20.08). All four factors were categorized as having a moderate influence on consumptive behavior. The findings suggest specially psychology students at medan area university are vulnerable to internal and external consumption pressures. Therefore, enhancing financial literacy and promoting mindful consumption are essential to help students manage their behavior and avoid potential psychological and financial consequences.en_US
