dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Pulau. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan teknik total sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 siswa yang telah melalui proses screening awal. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala prokrastinasi akademik yang disusun berdasarkan teori Ghufron & Rini (2020) dengan model skala Likert, mencakup faktor internal (kondisi fisik dan psikologis) serta faktor eksternal (gaya pengasuhan orang tua dan kondisi lingkungan). Instrumen telah diuji validitas dengan koefisien korelasi seluruh item valid (>0,3) dan reliabilitas (>0,7) sehingga dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat prokrastinasi akademik siswa berada pada kategori sedang (mean 66,35). Dari 80 responden, 79 siswa (98.8%) berada pada kategori sedang, 1 siswa (1,3%) kategori rendah, dan tidak ada siswa pada kategori tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik meliputi kondisi psikologis (35%), kondisi fisik (33%), lingkungan (19%), serta gaya pengasuhan orang tua (13%). Faktor psikologis merupakan aspek paling dominan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa prokrastinasi akademik lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dibandingkan eksternal. Oleh karena itu, upaya pencegahan sebaiknya difokuskan pada peningkatan regulasi diri, motivasi belajar, dan pengelolaan kesehatan fisik siswa dengan dukungan keluarga serta lingkungan sekolah. This study aims to identify the factors influencing academic procrastination among students of SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Pulau. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with a total sampling technique involving 80 students who had undergone an initial screening process. The instrument used was an academic procrastination scale developed based on the theory of Ghufron & Rini (2020) and designed using a Likert scale, covering internal factors (physical and psychological conditions) and external factors (parenting style and environmental conditions). The instrument was tested for validity, with all items showing correlation coefficients (>0.3), and for reliability (>0.7), indicating that it was valid and reliable.The results showed that students’ academic procrastination was in the moderate category (mean 66.35. Of the 80 respondents, 79 students (98.8%) were categorized as moderate, 1 student (1.3%) as low, and none as high. The factors influencing academic procrastination included psychological conditions (35%), physical conditions (33%), environmental conditions (19%), and parenting style (13%). Among these, psychological factors were the most dominant.These findings highlight that academic procrastination is more strongly influenced by internal factors compared to external ones. Therefore, efforts to reduce procrastination should focus on improving students’ self-regulation, learning motivation, and physical health management, with positive support from families and school environments.en_US
