This study aims to examine the influence of permissive parenting style on children’s social development at MIS Nurul Falaq. The research employed a quantitative correlational method with a sample of 255 students raised under permissive parenting. The instruments used were the Permissive Parenting Scale (16 items, α = 0.781) and the Social Development Scale (24 items, α = 0.941). Data analysis included normality test, linearity test, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression using JASP software. The results showed a significant negative correlation between permissive parenting and children’s social development (r = -0.709; p < 0.001). Regression analysis indicated that permissive parenting influences social development by 50.2% (β = -0.760; p < 0.001). Data categorization revealed that 64% of parents applied high levels of permissive parenting, while 49% of children’s social development fell into the medium category. Thus, the higher the level of permissive parenting, the lower the children’s social development. | en_US |
