dc.description.abstractKeragaman tumbuhan yang ada di pasar tradisional lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan pasar modern. Jenis tumbuhan yang diperjual belikan di pasar tradisional dipengaruhi oleh kearifan lokal maupun tradisi masyarakat lokal di lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang terdapat di pasar tradisional di Kota Pematang Siantar serta mengkategorisasi tumbuhan tersebut. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskripsi kualitatif dan metode wawancara semi terstruktur. Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan metode purposive sampling dan terdapat 20 informan (penjual) dan 8 responden (pembeli) di setiap pasar sehingga total sampel sebanyak 56 orang. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi di lapangan dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan data primer. Hasil penelitian berhasil mendokumentasikan 58 jenis tumbuhan yang termasuk kedalam 31 suku tumbuhan. Beberapa tumbuhan yang diperjual-belikan dipasar tradisional meliputi Sayur, Rempah, Bumbu, dan Buah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini Pemanfaatan tumbuhan untuk keperluan bumbu dan rempah terdapat 30 jenis tumbuhan dan penggunaan selanjutnya adalah sayuran dengan 12 jenis sebagai bahan masakan. dan selanjutnya buah dengan 16 jenis. The diversity of plants in traditional markets more dominant compare to modern markets. The species of plants sold in traditional markets are influenced by local wisdom and the traditional of local communities in the surrounding area. This research aims to determine species of plants found in traditional markets of Pematang Siantar city and categorize these plants. The research was conducted using qualitative description methods and semi-structured interview methods. Respondent were determined using the purposive sampling method and there were 20 informants (sellers) and 8 respondents (buyers) in each market, so that the sample total was 56 people. Data obtained through field observations and interviews, then analyzed using primary data. The research result successfully documented 58 species of plants belonging to 31 plant families. Some of the plants sold in traditional markets include vegetables, spices, herbs, and fruit. Based on the result of this research, the use of plants for spices and herbs consists of 30 types of plants and the next use is vegetable with 12 species as cooking ingredients. and then fruit with 16 species.en_US
