This study analyzes the film Better Days (2019) by employing the theoretical framework of social construction of reality (Peter L. Berger & Thomas Luckmann) and representation theory (Stuart Hall, 1997). The research method used is content analysis, focusing on the narrative, characters, and cinematic elements within the film. The findings reveal that the film represents social injustice through bullying practices, economic disparities, and discrimination in the educational system. These realities are hegemonically constructed by social institutions such as schools, families, and law enforcement, thereby reinforcing power inequalities within society. A key finding of this research is that Better Days not only portrays the personal story of Chen Nian but also exposes how social structures shape and sustain cycles of injustice through media representation. The study recommends utilizing films as critical educational tools to raise public awareness of issues such as bullying, educational inequality, and the need for fairer legal protection. Furthermore, it suggests that future research expand the interdisciplinary perspectives in film analysis to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the relationship between media, social construction of reality, and hegemonic practices.en_US
