This study analyzes the determinants of the competitiveness of Indonesian cocoa butter exports compared to the Netherlands using secondary data from 2015–2024. The methods used are Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to measure comparative advantage and Error Correction Model (ECM) to test the effect of independent variables (real GDP, export volume, population, export value, export price) on competitiveness in the short and long term. The results show that both countries have comparative advantages in cocoa butter exports to eight major destination countries, with RCA values > 1. In the long term, no variable significantly affects competitiveness. However, in the short term, real GDP and population have different effects on the two countries: Indonesia is positively affected by real GDP and negatively affected by population, while the Netherlands is the opposite.
