dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan pengembangan wisata Siantar Zoo dalam meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan. Fokus penelitian mencakup evaluasi kualitas pelayanan, strategi komunikasi pemasaran, kondisi fasilitas, dan aspek edukasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam kepada staf pengunjung, observasi lapangan, dan analisis dokumen selama periode Maret- Juni 2023. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan empat tantangan utama: (1) dampak kenaikan harga tiket sebesar 50% terhadap tingkat kunjungan, (2) kondisi fasilitas yang kurang terawat terutama area publik dan sanitasi, (3) persaingan dengan wisata modern berbasis teknologi, dan (4) terbatasnya informasi edukatif tentang satwa. Studi ini merekomendasikan penerapan strategi pemasaran digital yang inovatif, peningkatan kualitas fasilitas, serta pengembangan program edukasi interaktif. Implementasi rekomendasi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing Siantar Zoo sebagai destinasi wisata edukatif berkelanjutan. This study aims to analyze the challenges of developing Siantar Zoo tourism in increasing tourist visits. The focus of the study includes evaluating service quality, marketing communication strategies, facility conditions, and educational aspects. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in- depth interviews with visitor staff, field observations, and document analysis during the period March-June 2023. The results of the study revealed four main challenges: (1) the impact of a 50% increase in ticket prices on the level of visits, (2) poorly maintained facilities, especially public areas and sanitation, (3) competition with modern technology-based tourism, and (4) limited educational information about animals. This study recommends the implementation of innovative digital marketing strategies, improving the quality of facilities, and developing interactive educational programs. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to increase the competitiveness of Siantar Zoo as a sustainable educational tourism destination.en_US
