dc.description.abstractPerubahan penggunaan lahan di Kecamatan Padang Tualang selama beberapa tahun terakhir menunjukkan adanya dampak terhadap kondisi lingkungan, khususnya pada Kecamatan Padang Tualang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan tutupan lahan dan dampaknya Terhadap kualitas lahan menggunakan pendekatan indeks NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), BSI (Bare Soil Index), NDWI (Normalized Difference Water Index), dan NBRI (Normalized Burn Ratio Index). Data yang digunakan berasal dari citra satelit Sentinel-2 untuk tahun 2017, 2020, dan 2024. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kerapatan vegetasi, tingkat tanah terbuka, Badan air, dan tingkat keparahan kebakaran. Metode yang digunakan berupa analisis perubahan spasial dan temporal melalui sistem informasi geografis (SIG) serta klasifikasi indeks vegetasi dan lahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi penurunan nilai NDVI dan NDWI pada tahun 2020 yang mengindikasikan berkurangnya vegetasi dan kelembapan lahan, sedangkan nilai BSI meningkat yang menunjukkan perluasan area tanah terbuka. Pada tahun 2024, sebagian wilayah mengalami pemulihan vegetasi, namun nilai NBRI masih menunjukkan adanya area yang terdampak kebakaran dengan tingkat keparahan sedang hingga tinggi. Kombinasi analisis indeks tersebut mengidentifikasi bahwa perubahan penggunaan lahan untuk pertanian dan permukiman berkontribusi terhadap penurunan kualitas lahan. Disarankan agar pengelolaan lahan dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan berbasis konservasi vegetasi untuk mengurangi risiko kebakaran serta menjaga kualitas ekosistem pada Kecamatan Padang Tualang. Land use change in Padang Tualang Subdistrict over the past few years has shown an impact on environmental conditions, especially in Padang Tualang Subdistrict. This study aims to analyze land cover changes and their impact on environmental quality using the NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), BSI (Bare Soil Index), NDWI (Normalized Difference Water Index), and NBRI (Normalized Burn Ratio Index) approaches. The data used comes from Sentinel-2 satellite imagery for the years 2017, 2020, and 2024. The parameters observed include vegetation density, level of bare soil, water bodies, and fire severity level. The method used was spatial and temporal change analysis through a Geographic Information System (GIS) and classification of vegetation and land indices. The results of the study show that there was a decrease in NDVI and NDWI values in 2020, indicating a reduction in vegetation and soil moisture, while BSI values increased, indicating an expansion of bare land areas. In 2024, some areas experienced vegetation recovery, but NBRI values still indicated areas affected by fires with moderate to high severity. The combination of these index analyses identified that land use changes for agriculture and settlements contributed to the decline in environmental quality. It is suggested that land management be carried out sustainably and based on vegetation conservation to reduce the risk of fires and maintain the ecosystem quality in Padang Tualang Subdistrict.en_US
