Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-compassion terhadap resiliensi remaja di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Kelas I Kota Medan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kondisi remaja di LPKA yang rentan mengalami tekanan psikologis seperti stres, kecemasan, dan depresi akibat situasi pembinaan dan stigma sosial. Self-compassion diyakini dapat menjadi faktor protektif yang meningkatkan kemampuan resiliensi, yaitu kemampuan individu untuk bangkit dan beradaptasi dalam menghadapi kesulitan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 100 remaja penghuni LPKA dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala self-compassion yang disusun berdasarkan aspek Neff (2003) dan skala resiliensi berdasarkan aspek Reivich & Shatté (2002). Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan regresi sederhana dengan bantuan SPSS for Windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara self-compassion dengan resiliensi (r = 0,589; p < 0,05) dengan kontribusi sebesar 57,7%. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Y = 13,877 + 3,091X, dengan nilai konstanta sebesar 13,877 menunjukkan bahwa tanpa variabel self-compassion, resiliensi remaja masih memiliki nilai dasar sebesar 13,877. Artinya, semakin tinggi self-compassion yang dimiliki remaja, semakin tinggi pula tingkat resiliensinya. Secara umum, tingkat self-compassion dan resiliensi remaja di LPKA berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa self-compassion berperan penting dalam membangun resiliensi remaja di LPKA. Oleh karena itu, program pembinaan psikologis yang menekankan pada pengembangan self-compassion melalui konseling, pelatihan mindfulness, serta dukungan sosial diharapkan mampu meningkatkan resiliensi remaja dalam menghadapi tekanan hidup. This study aims to determine the effect of self-compassion on the resilience of adolescents at the Special Child Development Institution (LPKA) Class I Medan City. The background of this research is based on the condition of adolescents in LPKA who are vulnerable to experiencing psychological pressures such as stress, anxiety, and depression due to the rehabilitation situation and social stigma. Self-compassion is believed to be a protective factor that enhances resilience, which is the ability of individuals to rise and adapt in facing difficulties. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The research population consisted of 100 adolescent residents of LPKA, all of whom were used as samples through total sampling technique. The instruments used were the self-compassion scale constructed based on Neff's (2003) aspects and the resilience scale based on Reivich & Shatté's (2002) aspects. Data analysis was conducted using simple regression with SPSS for Windows. The results showed a positive and significant effect between self-compassion and resilience (r = 0.589; p < 0.05) with a contribution of 57.7%. The regression equation obtained is Y = 13.877 + 3.091X, with a constant value of 13.877 indicating that without the self-compassion variable, adolescent resilience still has a baseline value of 13.877. This means that the higher the self-compassion possessed by adolescents, the higher their level of resilience. In general, the levels of self-compassion and resilience of adolescents in LPKA are in the moderate category. The results of this study indicate that self-compassion plays an important role in building the resilience of adolescents in LPKA. Therefore, psychological development programs that emphasize the development of self-compassion through counseling, mindfulness training, and social support are expected to increase adolescent resilience in facing life pressures.
