Pengaruh Komunikasi Interpersonal Terhadap Konsep Diri Pada Anak Remaja HKBP Padang Bulan Medan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adanya pengaruh antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan konsep diri pada anak remaja di Gereja HKBP Padang Bulan Medan. HKBP merupakan tempat ibadah atau perkumpulan suku batak yang terdiri dari banyak Jemaat. Adapun pengertian dari konsep diri menjelaskan konsep diri sebagai pandangan, penilaian, dan perasaan individu mengenai dirinya yang timbul sebagai hasil dari suatu interaksi sosial. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi konsep diri anak remaja adalah komunikasi interpersonal. Komunikasi interpersonal merupakan pengiriman pesan-pesan dari seseorang dan diterima oleh orang lain, atau juga sekelompok orang dengan efek dan umpan balik yang langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian kuantitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi sederhana dan menggunakan sekala likert. Adapun hasil penelitian dari analilis regresi sederhana didapatkan Y 35,412 + 0,441 x + e dengan konstanta (a) = 35,412 dan koefisien regresi linier sederhana (b) = 0,441. Berdasarkan nilai analisis koefisien determinasi, didapat hasil signifikan regresi p= 0,000 < 0,050. Dari hasil penelitian di dapat bahwa komunikasi interpersonal anak remaja di hkbp di katagorikan rendah, dan juga hasil dari konsep diri anak remaja juga di katagorikan rendah. Koefisien determinan (r2) adalah r2=0,561. Ini menunjukkan bahwa konsep diri berdistribusi sebesar 56,1% terhadap komunikasi interpersonal. This study aims to see the influence between interpersonal communication and selfconcept in teenagers at HKBP Padang Bulan Medan. HKBP is a place of worship or a Batak tribal association consisting of many congregations. The definition of self-concept explains the self-concept as the views, assessments, and feelings of individuals about themselves that arise as a result of social interaction. One of the factors that influence teenagers' self-concept is interpersonal communication. Interpersonal communication is the sending of messages from one person and received by another person, or also a group of people with immediate effects and feedback. This research uses a quantitative approach. Quantitative research used in this study is a simple regression analysis and uses a Likert scale. The research results from simple regression analysis obtained Y 35.412 + 0.441 x + e with constant (a) = 35.412 and simple linear regression coefficient (b) = 0.441. Based on the value of the coefficient of determination analysis, the significant regression result is obtained p = 0.000 <0.050. From the results of the study it can be seen that the interpersonal communication of teenagers in hkbp is categorized as low, and also the results of the self-concept of teenagers are also categorized as low. The coefficient of determination (r2) is r2=0.561. This shows that self-concept distributes 56.1% of interpersonal communication.
